CURRENT NEWS:

We are excited to announce that along with the Manchester NH Police, Portsmouth NH Police Department, and constant support from Portland Maine Police Department, "Max's Law" has passed through the NH Senate and the NH House of Representatives and has been signed by Governor Sununu!

What is "Max's Law"?

This will allow for EMS to provide prehospital care and emergency transport to injured Operational K9s. In cases where these K9 officers are critically injured in the field, this will increase their risk of survival and ability to continue to serve the community.

Veterinary professionals have been working with the Division of Fire Standards and Training & Emergency Medical Services (FSTEMS) and both the NH Medical and Trauma Services Coordinating Board and the NH Medical Control Board. Through this joint effort, we are pleased to announce that as of 12/29/2023, the patient protocols have been approved!
